T - Testing, is provided at the beginning and end of each session. This provides a scale to objectively measure improvement in different dimensions. An after session evaluation allows the client to offer helpful feedback about each session.
E - Empathy, for the establishment of a close and respectful understanding of the client as therapeutic work begins. Empathy and compassion are imperative for effective treatment.
A - Agenda, provides a guideline on proceeding in a session that will keep focus and work towards resolving a chosen problem. Setting the agenda helps eliminate resistance and improve motivation.
M - Methods, in the T.E.A.M. approach there are over 50 powerful and specific methods that are used for maximum effectiveness to accelerate recovery.
